HorsePower
Serving with Strength. Healing with Purpose.
HorsePower is a volunteer initiative created for Veterans and First Responders to uplift and empower them through meaningful service at Silver Lining Riding.
Set on 70 acres at Be Kind Ranch, this experience allows participants to reconnect, give back, and find healing through the power of horses.
Participants work alongside one another to feed and groom horses, complete ranch projects, and engage in team-building activities that foster trust, communication, and connection. Shoulder-to-shoulder with others who have served, they rediscover the strength of community, the gift of laughter, and the quiet peace that comes from time spent with horses.
While volunteers don’t work directly with riders, their efforts create the foundation for every life-changing moment at Silver Lining Riding.
Reclaim Your Reins
Reclaim Your Reins: Moms Camp 2026
Somewhere along the way, many moms forget who they were before all the titles.
Mom. Wife. Caregiver. Chauffeur. Problem solver.
Moms Camp was created to offer something rare — a space to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the woman behind those roles.
Set at the barn and guided through the quiet wisdom of horses, Moms Camp is a six-week journey designed to help women reconnect with themselves, build confidence, and experience the power of community.
Through hands-on horse experiences, team challenges, reflection, and laughter, participants explore themes like identity, presence, connection, boundaries, grace, and letting go.
And something remarkable happens.
Horses respond to honesty. They don’t expect perfection. They meet you exactly where you are.
Last year, moms shared moments that took our breath away:
• One participant experienced a breakthrough with her horse, realizing she was capable of leading with confidence again.
• Another shared what she wanted to release and wash away, and found a safe space to do exactly that.
What started as a program became something deeper, a community.
By the final week, families joined us at the barn for Popsicles & Ponies, where kids, husbands, and grandparents experienced the place that had become so meaningful to the moms who attended.
The laughter, the connection, and the golden hour glow reminded us why this program matters.
Moms Camp isn't about learning to ride.
It’s about remembering who you are.
And sometimes the best place to do that… is beside a horse.
