Understanding Horses
When asked for a favorite animal, some kids say, “horses.” They may not know why they like horses, and many of them have never ridden a horse, but there is a place in their hearts that only a horse can touch.

These magnificent animals have the awe and power to stop people in their tracks, yet display a loving, gentle nature that comforts even the hardest of hearts.

The Silver Lining Riding Program seeks to empower students, so they build self-esteem, gain confidence and learn responsibility.

Our goal is to take the magnificence and wonder of the horse and enlighten people about valuable life skills that are used every day in life: communication, teamwork, and leadership.

In addition to the emotional/psychological benefits, horseback riding offers a wide array of physical benefits, like improving core strength, arm strength, balance, gross motor skills, and fine motor skills.

Through horses, we can learn about ourselves. Through horses, we can help each other.
